DEVELOPMENTAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN WITH DYSLEXIA AND ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER THROUGH TABLE TENNIS TRAINING
Abstract
This article analyzes the role and potential of table tennis training in the
development of children with dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD).
Dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have neurological characteristics
and negatively affect children's important functions such as reading, writing, concentration, and
self-control. Traditional teaching methods cannot always provide sufficient help to such children.
The article highlights the positive aspects of table tennis, such as concentration, coordination of
movements, activation of reflexes, increasing self-confidence, and development of social skills.
The study focuses on the role of sports in cognitive and emotional development and substantiates
the possibilities of using these training as a pedagogical and therapeutic approach.
