PHYSICAL TRAINING METHODS OF BASKETBALL PLAYERS
Abstract
Basketball is a sport that requires a high level of physical and mental
preparation, and the physical preparation of players directly affects their performance, endurance,
and protection from injuries. This article comprehensively analyzes the physical training methods
of basketball players, studying their effectiveness and scientifically based approaches. Various
training methods for developing the main components of physical training - endurance, strength,
speed, agility, coordination, and flexibility - and their impact on sports results are discussed.
The importance of using aerobic and anaerobic exercises to increase endurance, including
running, swimming, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT), is discussed in detail. The benefits
of strength training exercises for basketball players, including weight lifting, plyometric exercises,
jumping, and explosive power development, are analyzed. Quick reaction exercises, lateral
movements, and stabilization techniques to increase speed and agility are considered.
Modern approaches to basketball physical training based on world experience are also
discussed. Detailed information will be provided on advanced technologies, biometric monitoring,
and individual approach methods used in the training of athletes in the NBA. Physical training
programs in European basketball schools, special techniques for young athletes, and approaches
aimed at the overall physical development of athletes will be studied. The emphasis on endurance
and plyometric exercises, nutrition, and recovery strategies in the Australian basketball system will
be analyzed.
