Abstract

The modern education system operates in an era of rapidly developing information technologies, global competition, and an increasing need for human intelligence. In such conditions, not only increasing the level of knowledge of students but also forming in them deep thinking, strategic approach, problem-solving skills, and creative thinking remains one of the most priority tasks of education. In such a situation, the game of chess is recognized as one of the important tools that must be integrated into the educational process with its features that develop mental potential. Chess is not just a simple game, but also a powerful tool that develops the student's logical thinking, analytical thinking, the ability to search for alternative solutions, as well as cognitive functions such as attention and memory. Especially since today's problems of young people's inability to concentrate, impatience, and superficial approach to problems are increasingly encountered in the education system, chess is seen as a natural pedagogical solution to eliminate such situations.In addition, the specific educational effect of chess is also relevant. Through it, students learn to experience winning and losing, to treat their opponents with respect, to work on themselves and be patient. These qualities will help them not only in the educational process, but also in everyday life. Through chess, it is possible to form the younger generation as spiritually mature, intellectually capable, socially active individuals.Another relevant aspect of the topic is the effectiveness of chess in inclusive education. Experiments with children with attention deficit disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and other psychological characteristics show that chess significantly improves their adaptation to society, socialization, and level of thinking. This fact shows chess as a useful tool not only in academic, but also in psychological and pedagogical terms.Also, in many developed countries, chess is included in school programs as a mandatory or optional subject, and this practice is bearing fruit. At a time when a number of reforms are being implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan to improve the quality of education, introduce advanced foreign experiences, and develop the thinking capacity of young people, integrating chess into the educational process is one of the urgent tasks. On the one hand, this serves to educate a young generation with intellectual potential, and on the other hand, it also gives impetus to the adaptation of the national education system to international standards.
