Developing a Model for Enhancing Students' Engineering Competence through a Creative Approach
Abstract
This study focuses on the development of a pedagogical model aimed at enhancing students' engineering competence through the implementation of a creative approach. In the context of modern engineering education, fostering creativity is essential for solving complex technical problems, generating innovative ideas, and adapting to rapidly evolving technological environments. The proposed model integrates creative thinking strategies, problem-based learning, and interdisciplinary project work into the engineering curriculum. It emphasizes the formation of key competencies such as analytical reasoning, design thinking, teamwork, and self-directed learning. The model has been theoretically grounded and experimentally validated, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving students’ ability to apply engineering knowledge in real-world contexts. The results indicate that the creative approach significantly contributes to the development of professional and cognitive competencies among future engineers
