    Abstract
Absrtact. GTL is now a widely used technology that converts natural gas into clean synthetic liquid fuels such as naphtha, kerosene and light oil. Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is used to convert synthesis gas feedstock into an easily transportable hydrocarbon liquid in the presence of a catalyst. This technology produces crude oil, which is a mixture of complex hydrocarbons. The article describes the technology of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. A control system for the compressor device used in GTL technology has been developed. The interaction of the compressor with the technological process, requirements for the control of compressor units and a computational model of the compression process are considered. Compressor control systems are vital in manipulating compressor variables. They are key to keeping the compressor in its optimum working condition. Their purpose is mainly centered around performance safety and efficiency. The influence of the interaction between system characteristics and compressor characteristics in both steady- state and transient conditions is explained.
