    Abstract
The article discusses the efficiency of photovoltaic pumping units used for irrigation of agricultural plants. It proposes a graph-analytical method for determining the operating mode of the pump, based on regulating the rotation speed of the impeller, which is carried out following the changing power values of the photovoltaic device, as well as taking into account changes in the static pressure of the pump. The results of calculations performed by the proposed graph-analytical method showed that, in comparison with an unregulated pump, the use of a method for regulating the rotation speed of a pump shaft powered by a photovoltaic device allows for reducing its power by 19%, while the degree of use of solar energy increases by almost 20%.
