Abstract
The article presents a methodology for conducting media education classes based on the use of
literary-analytical, literary-imitative, staged-role and visual-imitative creative tasks. The creative
tasks are based on the analysis of the main concepts of media education - "media agencies", "media
categories", "media language", "media technologies", "media representations", "media audience",
etc. Students' comments are expressed on how the main issues of media education are purposefully
addressed in the course of completing a set of game and creative tasks, including elements of
media education theory and analysis of media works.
