dc.description.abstract | The annual population growth across the republic, while maintaining the current level of water consumption per capita, leads to a continuous increase in the additional demand for water resources by municipal services. With the current level of water consumption per capita, the annual additional demand for water resources by municipal services increases by 16-20 mln.m3. The development of the industry is also expected to lead to an increase in the demand of this sector. The data mentioned above allowed for the compilation of a water balance for different sectors of the national economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan under various water supply scenarios, with the associated problems being the focus of this study. The results of the research provided dependencies for determining the depths of local sedimentation in the deformed section of the lower canal, which is composed of unconsolidated soil. Calculated dependencies were developed to determine average depth velocities and turbulent flow characteristics in the sedimentation zone. The methodology for calculating local sedimentation in unconsolidated soils has been refined based on the study of turbulence energy transformation mechanisms in the sedimentation zone. Recommendations for flow management in the lower canal zone are provided, aiming to reduce local sedimentation. Specification of calculated dependencies for determining the parameters of local sedimentation in non-cohesive soils. The calculated dependencies provide estimates for the distribution of average depths, velocities, and the root mean square values of longitudinal velocity fluctuations in the sedimentation zone. The dependencies obtained from the studies enable predictions of stream reformation behind structures in the downstream area. | en_US |
