This article explores the maximum increase in pressure caused by direct hydraulic shock with a rise in pressure within a system, considering pressure losses along the length of the pipeline. It includes an analysis of scientific works focused on determining the maximum pressure increase due to positive hydraulic shock, which affects the strength characteristics of pressure pipelines, taking energy losses along the pipeline into account. An analytical study is presented to determine the maximum increase in hydraulic shock pressure as pressure rises, providing an accurate assessment of the optimal parameters for pressure pipelines. The article derives a formula for calculating the maximum pressure increase caused by positive hydraulic shock, factoring in energy loss along the pipeline. This calculation enhances system reliability and promotes resource efficiency when designing pressure pipelines. Theoretical results are compared with experimental data from both the author and V.I. Blokhin. A reliable correlation was found between the calculated results for direct hydraulic shock, based on the proposed formula, and the experimental data, especially in cases where pressure increases due to a break in flow continuity.en_US
