The introduction of electric buses can be an effective solution to improve environmental conditions and modernize public transport. The advantages of electric buses include reduced CO₂ emissions, lower noise levels, savings on fuel and maintenance costs, and improved passenger comfort. However, key challenges include a lack of charging stations, high initial costs, reliable energy supply, and battery recycling issues. To successfully integrate electric buses into Shymkent’s public transport system, it is necessary to expand the charging infrastructure, attract investments, utilize renewable energy sources, and ensure government support. The experience of cities like Shenzhen and Almaty demonstrates that transport electrification is feasible with proper planning. The transition to electric buses will make Shymkent an environmentally friendly, comfortable, and modern city.otherElectric buses, Public transport, Electrification, Charging infrastructure, Air pollution, Renewable energyPROSPECTS FOR THE USE OF ELECTRIC BUSES IN THE PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM OF SHYMKENTArticle
